Terms of service
Last updated 1 October 2026
Word Mastermind is a free word game at wordmastermind.app, run by Paul Langdon. By playing, you agree to these terms.
Playing
- The game is free. There are no purchases and no ads.
- You can play without an account. Signing in is optional, and lets you play your games against friends on any device.
- Keep your sign-in email and devices to yourself: anyone who can open your sign-in links can play as you.
Be fair and kind
- Choose a display name that isn't offensive and doesn't pretend to be someone else. Friends you play see it.
- Don't use bots or scripts to play, or try to disrupt the game or its server, or to see another player's secret word.
- We may remove names, games or accounts that break these rules.
The game is still being built
Features may change or be removed. Before the game's full launch, online game history (and later leaderboards and ratings) may be reset. Games kept only in your browser are yours to back up from your profile.
No guarantees
The game is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we aren't liable for losses from using it, as far as the law allows.
Your data
How we handle your data is set out in the privacy policy.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Playing after that means you accept them.
